Sagittaria var. Pusilla

Sagittaria subulata var. pusilla is a versatile aquatic plant known for its narrow, ribbon-like leaves that closely resemble Vallisneria. This dwarf arrowhead species is highly adaptable and can vary significantly in size depending on aquarium conditions, making it a flexible choice for a range of aquascaping styles. Under higher lighting, it tends to stay shorter and more compact, making it suitable for the foreground or as a transitional plant. In low light tanks, it can grow taller, gradually shifting into the midground or background while maintaining its soft, grassy appearance.

As it establishes, it spreads through runners, creating natural horizontal coverage across the substrate. With occasional trims and maintenance, it can be controlled to produce a carpeting effect or allowed to grow more freely for a natural, organic look.

Hardy and easy to care for, this plant adapts well to a wide range of aquarium conditions and is a reliable choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers looking to add subtle texture and movement to their layouts.
