The Turquoise Severum (Heros sp. efasciatus) is highly prized for its beautiful metallic sheen, featuring a blend of deep olive-to-gold bases overlaid with shimmering turquoise and blue spotting. Known affectionately as the "gentle giant" of the cichlid world, it offers the impressive size and intelligence of a large cichlid without the extreme aggression. They quickly recognize their feeders, often greeting you at the glass, and have a wonderfully interactive "dog-like" personality.
