Longaberger 1984 – Bread Basket - VINTAGE This vintage Longaberger basket is a finely handcrafted piece that reflects the artistry and tradition of American basketmaking. The basket’s woven pattern and signed base mark it as an authentic creation from The Longaberger Company, founded by Dave Longaberger in Dresden, Ohio, in 1973. Longaberger built his company on the legacy of his father, J.W. Longaberger, who was a basket weaver in the early 1900s. Staying true to those roots, each basket was handwoven by individual artisans and initialed by its maker, turning every piece into a small work of folk art. During its peak in the 1980s and 1990s, Longaberger became a symbol of American craftsmanship and community, with baskets that were both collectible and practical. Today, a vintage Longaberger basket like this one carries not only its original charm and durability but also the story of a family business that celebrated the value of handcraft and home.
