Limnobium Laevigatum - Smooth Frogbit (5pk)

The shiny green foliage is filled with spongy tissue for buoyancy. Juvenile plants are formed on the ends of runners. The roots make excellent cover for fry and remove nitrates, helping to prevent algae. Not hardy. Remove decaying plants after first frost. To overwinter, place in shallow water with a little soil for the roots to grow into. Keep in good light at above 10 °c. Return to the pond late April - May when there is no risk of frost.

Pond Planet Floating Plant Guide:
Only native floating plants are truly hardy whilst tropical species add variety to the pond during the summer months. Floating pond plants provide shade to the water and help remove nitrates, which aids in the reduction of algae and increases biodiversity.
