Leonard Messel Magnolia

Why it rocks:

Leonard Messel Magnolia is a popular magnolia, known for its early spring bloom in froths of large, extremely fragrant pink flowers. Spring blooms are large, opening to deep pink on the outside and light pink on the inside. This hardy and reliable tree will be sure to make your home stand out, and its beautiful colors will be sure to slow down traffic!

Where to put it:

Leonard Messel Magnolia is an excellent feature accent tree. Because of its smaller size and shrub-like form, Leonard Messel Magnolia is commonly used in the front or back landscape to provide accent or anchoring, or around a deck or patio to provide screening. This tree should be planted at least 10ft away from buildings. This is a clump tree, so keep in mind that it will block the view of anything you put it in front of.

What it needs:

Leonard Messel Magnolia is an extremely tolerant tree that can grow in almost any condition. Be sure to follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
