I AM NOT DEAD, is an inspirational book meant to motivate and encourage vulnerable youth.The book highlights the plight of the young,marginalized and vulnerable, looking to give them hope and give them a voice.It is a book for the mistreated and their tormentors,aiming at making the latter think twice about their actions and bringing them to the realization that their day of reckoning shall surely come. It is a story of a young Kenyan girl trying to make it in Kenya after losing her father at a young age and facing the ruthlessness and cruelty of the world.She overcomes many challenges in her life and struggles with unforgiveness of those who hurt her.She tells her story in black and white and keeps convincing herself that she is not dead yet-to write her story. "We all quiver at the mention of death.It is something that we all do not want to experience or even think about.The topic of death is an uncomfortable one but the reality is that we shall all die one day.I have cheated death a couple of times but the scariest one was when a close relative almost beat me to death when I was a vulnerable teenager....Weeks before my dad passed on,he had assured us that all will be well.In indescribable desperation,I hung on to his every word of hope even though deep down I could see the light flicker and then light up again,like a candle in the wind......I AM NOT DEAD,has been a very painful story to write as it is based on real life experiences."
