Frog Hair Deep Blue Saltwater Tapered Leaders (10ft)

10ft saltwater taper for stealth and control
Our preferred saltwater tapered leader
Ideal for bonefish, permit and flats fishing
Longer length for softer presentation without sacrificing turnover

The Frog Hair Deep Blue Saltwater Tapered Leader in the 10ft model is our preferred choice for saltwater fly fishing where presentation matters as much as power. Designed for species like bonefish, permit and other wary flats fish, the longer taper helps deliver flies with greater subtlety while still maintaining the authority needed to turn leaders over cleanly.

The added length creates more separation from the fly line, helping reduce splash, improve stealth and give flies a more natural entry into shallow water. This is particularly valuable when targeting fish in clear conditions where close-range mistakes are quickly punished.

A stiff butt section provides strong energy transfer for accurate casts and dependable turnover, while the extra flexible tippet allows the fly to land naturally and behave properly in the water.

Built from Frog Hair’s premium material, Deep Blue leaders also offer excellent abrasion resistance, shock resistance and overall durability — all essential when fishing coral edges, mangroves, shell grit or hard-mouthed fish.

Finished with a perfection loop for quick leader changes, these are proven, high-quality leaders we trust.
