Shunji Dodo, who had been consistently taking photos focused on "Osaka," was invited in 1983 by Byron Black, an American filmmaker who had refused to be drafted into the Vietnam War and was working in Japan and Thailand, to go to Bangkok, saying, "Bangkok is similar to Osaka and is interesting, so let's go together." Since then, he has spent 35 years with his beloved Rolleiflex camera, capturing 291 works.
