Avoca anthology Rose print satin 40s/50s vintage fit and flare dress size 4/14–16 Here we have an absolutely adorable little dress, by Avoca of Ireland. This dress has such a cute 40s/50s vintage look, it just reminds me of something Gwen Stefani would've worn in the 90s. Very kitschy and cute. This dress has been gently pre-worn, there are one or two very fine hairline pulls to the delicate satin fabric, please see pictures. But you'd have to get a magnifying glass to see it! Apart from that the dress is fine, has just been gently cleaned and is ready to wear. The fabric of this dress is a light 100% polyester, takes a gentle 40° wash. Just a really easy to wash and wear fabric, and great for packing as well. Labelled as a size 4, I estimate this dress to fit a UK size: 14 to 16. Please refer to measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own to be short of fit. It fits me as a 14 with just a little room to spare, also take into account bust size. Colours of this dress feature red and pink rose print against a cream coloured base, with light green satin trim. I think this dress looks particularly good with similar colours, especially a pretty pink cardigan. Other design details include V-neck line, with rosette and heart button at the centre front. The dress has ruching at the bust, it flares out into a full skirt and has a bow at the left bottom hem. Short sleeves. The back is plain in design, continuing the same print as the front. Measurements are as follows: armpit to armpit measurement: 20.5 inches unstretched. Stretches to: about 21 inches. Approximate waist measurement: about 17 inches across. Length of the garment from the nape of the neck to the bottom hem, 38 inches.
